Alton Solomons Non executive director

Alton Solomons is an independent non-executive director of the Vuna Partners board with 18 years of experience as an investment professional, including leading a large alternative assets investment business.

Alton serves as a non-executive director on boards of a number companies, including Play Africa Group, Coidlink and Ademia Capital.

Since May 2005, he served as an investment professional at Sanlam Private Equity (“SPE”). In January 2012, he was appointed at the chief executive officer of SPE, a position he held up to January 2019.

During his tenure at SPE, he was responsible for strategy development and implementation as well as representing Sanlam on various investee companies Boards.

Prior to SPE Alton spent three years at the Industrial Development Corporation. Alton is a qualified CA(SA) and a CFA Charterholder from the CFA Institute in the USA.
